Privacy Policy

Overview

Felcode, LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. Beater Meter has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data about you.

The one thing that leaves your device is a destination search or a route request, and that goes to Apple Maps — never to us. Details below.

Location

Beater Meter uses your device's GPS to work out how fast you are moving, and to follow the route when you are navigating.

• Your speed is calculated only on your device, in memory, while the app is open.
• Your location is never transmitted to us and we never see it.
• Your location is never written to storage and is not retained after the app closes.
• Location is requested as “While Using the App” only. Beater Meter does not track your location in the background.

You can revoke location access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Beater Meter. Without it, the app cannot display a speed.

Directions and Search

Maps, destination search, and directions are provided by Apple's MapKit, built into iOS.

• When you search for a destination, that search text and your approximate location are sent to Apple to return results.
• When you start navigating, your starting point and destination are sent to Apple to calculate the route.
• This happens only when you search for somewhere or ask for a route. Simply watching your speed sends nothing.
• These requests go to Apple, not to us. We receive nothing and store nothing. Apple's handling of them is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
• Destinations and routes are not saved. Close the app and there is no history.

Data Collection

We do not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, or contacts. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. We do not use cookies or any tracking technology. We do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not have any. We do not keep a history of where you have been or where you asked to go.

Advertising

Beater Meter does not contain advertising.

Children's Privacy

Beater Meter collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
